Casandra Ventura was born on August 26th, 1986 in New London, Connecticut, USA. With 12 she began to model. After she graduated at The Williams School in 2004, she moved to New York at the age of 18 to pursue her modeling carreer. She met producer Ryan Leslie who later recorded a song with her. In summer 2006, Cassie released her first single Me&U and her selfnamed debut album. 2008 her 2nd album follows, as well as her first movie Step Up 2.
